Comfort Care Plan and Courtesy Checks
Heating and cooling maintenance is designed to keep critical internal components free of dirt, grime and other contaminants. Lunsford Air Conditioning & Heating offers a Comfort Care Plan. A spring courtesy check will be offered from March to April and a fall courtesy check will be offered from October to November.
We typically start scheduling our members a month prior and will reach out to help you get scheduled at least six times. To take advantage of this complimentary service, we kindly ask that you contact us to schedule your appointment by April 25th in the spring and November 25th in the fall to have your courtesy check scheduled. After this, the courtesy check will not be available until the following courtesy check season.
Items Checked
- Evaporator coil for cleanliness and corrosion.
- Apply self rinsing cleaner to evaporator coil.
- Blower wheel assembly for alignment and cleanliness.
- Refrigerant levels for peak performance.
- Check all factory safety controls.
- Cycle the condensate safety switch(es).
- Filter condition and replace if needed.
- Thermostat performance.
- Compressor amperage and operation.
- Electrical components for proper operation.
- Ensure tight connections on all high voltage wiring.
- Condenser fan for proper operation.
- Clean and flush drain line.
- Clean and rinse condenser coils.
- Fall duct check for cleanliness, leaks, insulation and loose connections.
Furnaces Only
- Inspect the heat exchanger.
- Check the flame sensor.
- Check ignition system.
- Inspect the flue vent for proper operation.
